Provo and other awesomeness

This is a blog post about not last weekend but the weekend before. I tried my best to document it because it was so fun, so here are some pictures from it.
Friday, I went to Provo and stayed with my friend Julie from Italy (she is in the middle). She is one of the most incredible person I know. Her friend Franchesca happened to be visiting from Italy for a few weeks, so we got to hang out and she is a doll.
We went to an amazing ballroom concert Friday night, I had no idea the ballroom team at BYU was like professional...seriously! Go check it out. And later that night we had a dance party of our own, and here is a picture of Julie in her pointe shoes!
This is Julie's temporary frog bowl, because the less shallow one broke that day.
Notice how there are no frogs in it. I know! This story is horrible, we woke up Saturday morning only to find that they were out of the bowl. They died. And one of them was found on the family room floor squashed. I think I had stepped on it that morning without realizing it. Horrible.
Julie and I went to the Provo temple on Saturday morning.
Later that day, it was so great to see my friend Lillian. We went and got bao zi at a chinese restaraunt and watched a chinese movie.
Saturday night I went to Sunshine and Stu's reception! She was gorgeous! This girl was one of my roommates my first semester in college and she changed my life. Literally. Her love for the guitar started mine. Her enthusiasm for life is something I will always try to emulate. I love her dearly.
And it was great to see all my other beautiful girl friends from school!
Later that night it was Anthony's birthday party!
祝你生日快乐! Anthony looks super excited about the cake.
Jonathan looks even more excited about eating it with chopsticks.
Sunday was Bugle's farewell! She is a Brighton camp friend, hence the awesome name Bugle. My name to her is Fermata. She did awesome and is on her way to Missouri to be a missionary and serve the Lord for a year and a half.
I love my Brighton friends!
I did a musical number in church that day with my dad and a less active member of our ward. It was a way neat experience. We had him and his family over for dinner later that day and of course my dad got a chocolate mint cake from Glaus bakery to celebrate the vocal number! It's a must try. What a great way to end a weekend.

  1. Oh, I love the cake! SING. That's awesome. I also love that your friend Sunshine is dressed in exactly the wedding dress and flowers I would imagine. So pretty. College friends are the best friends I have. Love it.
