Here's a flashback from this last fall semester. I had the wonderful opportunity to be on the Colegiate World dance team. I have a bucket load of picture from this that are just awesome and fun, so I had to post them. I miss these gals. We spent a couple hours just taking photos together and in our costumes at the end of the semester. Here they are...
This is our fantastic director, Amanda. She is wonderful and created some pretty sweet dances for us. So that is why we bought her this at the end of the semester...A sweet 80's boom box.
Yep she rocked it.
These are costumes from our hip hop irish battle dance. I was a hip hopper.
We had cool shoes. Most of them were Amanda's.
Me, in Amanda's shoes.
I jumped off a piano bench.
Yeah, I tried to be hard core for the dance.
These are costumes from the "Raining Men" dance.
Another jump off of a piano bench.
The african hip hop dance...
"Aboriginal."
Yes this was a jump from the dance.
In performance. We spent the whole semester learning dances and practicing for Extravadance. Here are some photos in performance.
In our Irish hip hop costumes.
Aboriginal. I started out as a girl who has a dream, and becomes part of the aboriginal tribe, only to find out that in the end she actually is part of the tribe. My FHE bro happened to play the didgeridoo, which is a classic insrument for australian aborinal tribes, so he ended up getting to play at the beginning of the performance and rocked it.
Irish hip hop battle. I wish I had more pictures of us battling the irish dancers.
It's Raining Men dance. This one was supposed to be super cheesy so you know me, I really got into the theatrical cheesy part of it all.
Our director, Amanda, overheard a conversation in the bathroom of two girls talking about their favorite dances in the show. It went like this.
girl 1: My favorite dance was Raining Men.
girl 2: I hated Raining Men. It was way too happy.
Haha, I got a huge laugh out of that one. Sounds like that girl may have needed her happiness boosted. I hope we did the trick, as she had to bear through through raining men, or to her, "the happiness dance."
African Hip Hop. I only have pictures from the hip hop part in motion, but the picture in in the black, yellow and orange at the top is from the african part.
And here's all the gals. it was fun dancing through life with you!

These photos are awesome! I love the ones of you with the umbrella! Any way we could see the performance? Did someone tape it? I'd love to see Raining Men to judge for myself if it's too "happy". :)
