Boy, do I love the Holidays! I love the lights, temple square, christmas fudge and goodies (haha) family and friend gatherings, the music, the smells, the look of a snow (I never said the cold that comes along with it), the memories that come along with it, and the chance that we have to focus on the Savior's birth. So here were some Holiday happenings.
Making gingerbread houses with my neice and nephews. It actually turned into a gingerbread transformer. Oops, sorry Ang, I think it was my fault that I started the creative process of making it look like a jumbled pile of gingerbread, candy and frosting and then the kids just went from there! Or it just looked like the house was in a really bad snowstorm.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert with David Archuleta. What could be better?!
Christmas is always special. We have the fun tradition of going to my aunts house and having a Norwegian dinner, and seeing Santa come in the door, bringing us presents as all the cousins, and aunts and uncles pretend like they are asleep.
It was fun having Cara and Steve here for the Holidays.
And little Grace!
She turned one on New Year's Eve and we celebrated her birthday with a lovely princess party. I was in charge of taking pictures at her party and it was fun to capture this little one on her special day.
I also had the responsibility of making the decadent cakes.
Grace sure was cute with her new piano.
The parachute was a hit among the little ones as well as the adults.
"with my Nana."
...
"and my aunt..."
Well it sure was fun. Have a Happy New Year! Reach for some stars this year!
