Pumpkin Galore! 11 things to make with Pumpkin

Question: What do you do with extra beautifully home grown pumpkins that your parents bring up from home when they come to visit you at school, and they give them to you?!

Answer: You boil them...

And puree them...

Yes, I have recently tried something new: pureeing 2 large pumpkins, in attempt to see how many pumpkin recipes I could create. And boy did it make a lot of pumpkin puree.

It's hard to believe that you can do more with a pumpkin than carve your usual jack - o - lantern or eat your regular pumpkin pie each Thanksgiving. So here it goes...

11 THINGS YOU CAN MAKE WITH A PUMPKIN! By the way, all these recipes turned out great and I would recommend all of them! They were so good. I had no idea you could make these things with pumpkin. All of them were recipes I found online except for the pumpkin shakes and pumpkin herbal tea was my own creation and the pumpkin soups were taking ideas from recipes here and there and changing them with a twist. So let me know if you would like any of the recipes and I would gladly share them. So here we go...

NUMBER 1 The Classic Pumpkin Cookies

NUMBER 2: Pumpkin Seeds (sweet on the left, salty on the right)(featured with random pumpkin thing in the middle)
NUMBER 3: Pumpkin Lasagna! (with wine, maybe that's why it was so tasty...)
I know it sounds crazy people! But it was a favorite among many!!

NUMBER 4: Pumpkin waffles. mmmmm...tasty

NUMBER 5: Cream of pumpkin soup

NUMBER 6: Pumpkin shakes. This was a favorite, I recreated it another day by popular demand. The blend of ice cream, milk, pumpkin, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and grahm cracker crust was like having pumpkin pie in shake form, but better.

NUMBER 6 1/2: Chocolate pumpkin shakes

NUMBER 7: Pumpkin oatmeal

NUMBER 8: Peanut butter pumpkin bread. A great way to get your kids to eat vegetables and it's delicious!

NUMBER 9: Pumpkin herbal tea

NUMBER 10: Gingered pumpkin soup

NUMBER 11: Cream cheese pumpkin muffins

It was a scrumptiously successful week and a half, and I think everyone enjoyed it. I mean, just check out the looks on their faces.
