Hello from South Korea!

Hello! I am at the airport in South Korea and they have wirless internet and facebook isn't blocked! It's great! We got into Korea at about 6 am and our flight to Hong Kong leaves at 8:30 am. I guess it's like -11 degrees outside. Brrrr. The flight over was around 12 hours and it was long and exciting. We were able to sleep a bit on the plane. I was in a middle seat and this Korean guy sitting next to me loved to snore haha. They fed us "dinner" at like 2 am Utah time but it was dinner time for Korea. I was asleep for "dinner" but I guess they had sea weed soup sith some other interesting stuff. Then we got breakfast at like 4 am Korean time, and it was rice porridge. Yum...got to get used to all the rice I will be eating for 3 meals a day.

When some of the other people in my group and I got tired of sitting, we went to the back, did some jogging in place and some yoga! A flight attendant happened to walk by when were doing the downward dog pose and she started laughing. So did we. haha. I love the Korean flight attendants!

Probably one of the funniest moments on the plane was about half way through the flight over to Korea. When you give up your only way to tell time (your phone) and leave it back in America, you don’t have a watch, and you are in and out of sleep, it’s kind of hard to tell what time it is. So, I wake up during the flight, lean over to Mikelle, and this is how our little conversation went:

Abby: “We’re about to land right?”
Mikelle: (looks at her watch, she is smart to bring one) “Abby, we still have 7 hours.”
Abby: “Oh…” (I swear we had been flying for longer haha)

You can tell it was a long flight. But I love it!

At the airport in LA, I was able to meet up with all the teachers I will be teaching with in my city. There are 7 of us all together and I love these girls already! I am excited to get to know them better throughout the semester. Well, we are leaving to Hong Kong here soon! Love ya all lots! Zaijian!

  1. Actually I think you meant to say it was Friday 8th. Remember, you lost the 7th going over there. Hope you have a great time in Hong Kong. It was fun to Skype with you from the airport in Seoul. Take care, Love DAD
